Kadavanad Sri Anantheswara Temple Charirable Trust

Kadavanad Sree Anantheswara Temple is a temple located in the village of Kadavanad in Eramam Kuttur Grama Panchayat of Payyannur Taluk in Kannur District Kerala ,which is about 1500 years old .It is a temple where the true Vaikunthanathan resides in the form of Anantheswara.

In ancient times, this was the area where Siddha Rishis practiced Spiritual Sadhana and went in to Samadhi, The divine Rishis samadhi exist inside the sacred Grove of Sri Anantheswara temple. This temple was their village temple. It is only with amazement that today's people can understand that this hilly village was once an area where Brahmin migration took place centuries ago and developed into a population center. It is also a fact that the majority of the families in this small village of about 55 houses are farmers or they go for farming work

divine sanctity of this kshetra is the powerful presence of Sri Vanadurga Devi, the compassionate Mother who protects forests, sacred groves, seekers, and Dharma itself.For centuries, devotees experienced the unseen protective grace of Vanadurga Devi in this sacred land. Guided by divine sankalpa and devotion, devotees recently constructed an open sanctum for Sri Vanadurga Devi within the temple premises, preserving the ancient spiritual tradition of worshipping the Goddess amidst nature and open sky.Devotees deeply believe that the Mother resides here in Her fierce yet compassionate form, silently protecting the temple, the village, and all who seek refuge at Her lotus feet.When the gentle grace of Sri Anantheswara and the protective Shakti of Sri Vanadurga unite in one sacred kshetra, the land itself becomes spiritually awakened.

For about 800 years, the entire temple has been in ruins.This temple was actually consecrated by Lord Parashurama in ancient times.All the temple land and property have been encroached upon. It is a fact that the glory of a once-prosperous village temple is no longer remembered by the contemporary people.

We, devotees of the Lord from the country, have come together to get rid of this plight. As a first step, we conducted an Ashtamangalya ceremony in the temple grounds. The Balalaya Pratishtha ceremony was performed. Later, on January 17 and 18, 2025, as the first phase of the construction of the temple shrine, the construction of the temple Sree Kovil floor part was carried out under the leadership of Thantri Attoli Illath Vasudevan Namboothiripad.

Devotees fromabout 60 houses connected to the temple donated their wealth to the temple, which has maintained and kept the glory of the Lord in the temple alive.

But now, even as we foresee huge expenses in the journey ahead , we are taking steps forward, visualising in our hearts that the Lord, the Cause and Effect of Everything, is our help.

The Lord, wearing a golden crown and garlands & holding Shangu , Chakram , Gadha , and Padmam in His hands is smiling in the heart of each one of us, I am sure that the Lord Himself will guide our mind and heart to this great event.

The Lord is the essence of the essence. This becomes a living experience when we awaken to the truth that we are Brahman . If even a blade of grass in this Universe is to move, it must have the merciful eye of the Lord.
