About Disha Ek Prayas, Bhojpur

Disha Ek Prayas is a community-based non-profit organization working for the protection, development, empowerment and well-being of vulnerable children, women and marginalized communities in Bhojpur, Bihar.

Our organization works in the following key areas:

1. Child Rights & Child Protection – Promoting and protecting the rights, safety and dignity of children, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
2. Prevention of Child Marriage – Creating awareness among children, parents and communities, preventing child marriages and promoting education and a safe childhood.
3. Prevention and Rescue of Child Labour – Identifying children engaged in labour, supporting rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and facilitating their linkage with education and government services.
4. Child Trafficking Prevention – Creating community awareness and strengthening local mechanisms to prevent child trafficking and protect vulnerable children.
5. Education & School Enrollment – Supporting out-of-school children in accessing formal education and helping children remain connected with the education system.
6. Health, Nutrition & Child Well-being – Conducting awareness programs on health, hygiene and nutrition and supporting vulnerable children and families through community-level interventions.
7. Women & Youth Skill Development – Providing skill development and vocational training such as Beauty Therapist, Tailoring, Hospitality and traditional art/craft training to promote employability and self-reliance.
8. Livelihood & Economic Empowerment – Supporting women and youth with skills, knowledge and opportunities for income generation and sustainable livelihoods.
9. Community Awareness & Mobilization – Organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, rallies, awareness vehicles and community meetings on important social issues and government schemes.
10. Access to Justice – Working to improve awareness and access to legal and protection mechanisms for children and vulnerable communities, particularly in cases involving child marriage, child labour and trafficking.
11. Government Scheme & Service Linkages – Facilitating vulnerable children and families in accessing appropriate government services, welfare schemes, education, health and protection mechanisms.

Through community participation, awareness, capacity building and collaboration with government departments, civil society organizations and other stakeholders, Disha Ek Prayas strives to create a safer, healthier, educated and empowered society where every child can enjoy their rights and every vulnerable person has an opportunity to live with dignity.
