Support 120 Vulnerable Children With Education Nutrition and Care for One Year

I still remember the first time I saw little faces full of hope yet marked by struggle. One child, Ishika, stood out to me; she walked miles to reach a learning centre but still couldn’t afford books or meals. Her courage stayed with me long after I left that community. It was moments like this that planted the seed of the Tare Zameen Foundation in my heart – a dream to make sure children like Ishika never have to give up on their future.

Tare Zameen Foundation began in 2018, inspired by my mother’s deep belief that no child should be left hungry or out of school and that every woman deserves dignity and independence. What started as a simple idea has grown into a movement of hearts committed to real change, not just charity. Our work is guided by compassion and a promise to the world to stand with the most vulnerable in society.

Our approach is simple but powerful: we focus on education, nutrition, health, women’s empowerment and environmental awareness. Every child we support gets access to quality learning, remedial help, and the tools they need to succeed, from books and stationery to safe learning spaces. We also ensure they receive daily nutritious meals and essential ration support so hunger never becomes a barrier to learning.

Beyond education and food, we care for overall well-being. Through health and hygiene awareness, basic healthcare access, and emotional support, we help children grow stronger in body and mind. For women in our programmes, we provide skill development, guidance, and dignity-focused support so they can achieve economic independence and confidence.

Over the years, TZF has reached thousands of lives through community-driven work, supporting education for over 2,600 children, providing meals and nutrition support to more than 2,000 people and delivering health and hygiene awareness to 4,000+ individuals. Under our programmes, youth and women have gained new skills, and environmental initiatives like tree plantation have brought communities together for a greener future.

Now, 120 children depend on us every day for their education, meals, care, and emotional support.
