My name is Md. Harun, and I am the father of little Ihan, my only child. I never imagined that my boy’s life would be filled with so much pain and suffering. From the day he was born, we dreamed of hearing his laughter and his first words and watching him grow like other children. But fate had different plans.
At the age of 2 years, Ihan was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Alpha Mannosidosis. This disease has stolen his childhood. Instead of playing in the park or going to school, my son spends his days in hospitals, undergoing tests, scans, and treatments. His medical reports from AIIMS, New Delhi, confirm the diagnosis and show how deeply this illness has affected his body, from hearing loss and speech delay to recurrent infections and slow growth.
Because of this condition, Ihan cannot hear or speak. He cannot call out “Ammi” or “Abba”. He lives in silence, expressing his pain only through tears. Every few months, he suffers from pneumonia, colds, coughs, and fever, leaving his fragile body weak and exhausted. Doctors have advised ENT follow-ups, cochlear implant planning, MRI scans, genetic tests, and even HSCT (bone marrow transplant), treatments that are far beyond what I can afford.
I run a small bangle shop, earning just ₹5,000–₹6,000 a month. This income is barely enough to feed my family, let alone pay for the repeated hospitalisations, medicines, and therapies my son needs. My wife, a housewife, stays by Ihan’s side day and night, caring for him through every fever and sleepless night. We are fighting not just the disease but also poverty and the fear of losing our only child.
Despite all this, Ihan is a fighter. He started walking only at the age of 3, and even though his growth is delayed, he tries to keep going. His courage gives us hope, but without your help, we cannot continue his treatment. The doctors have told us that with proper medical care, Ihan can have a chance at a better life.
I am begging you, as a father, to please help save my son. Every rupee you donate will go directly towards his treatment, towards the tests, medicines, and procedures that can ease his suffering and give him a chance to live.
My child deserves a childhood. He deserves to grow, to heal, and to live without constant pain.
Please open your heart and support us. Your kindness can give Ihan the future he deserves.
Help me save my son. Help me save Ihan.
