Story

From the dusty paths of Tapra Village, Balotra District, Rajasthan, our journey began with a simple yet profound purpose: to serve and care for the most innocent and voiceless beings among us: cows. What started as a humble act of compassion eventually became part of our broader community service under the umbrella of Moolseva Foundation, a registered non-profit organisation working to uplift lives in many ways. While our official focus includes women’s empowerment, child education, and environmental awareness, the heart of our work here in the village has always been to nourish and protect the cows that roam our fields and streets.

I remember the very first time our small team walked out with steaming pots of haleem and simple nutritious food early one morning. There were cows with weary eyes, calves trembling with hunger, and old mothers struggling to stand in the heat. It was in 2025, the year we formally registered Moolseva Foundation, that we pledged not just to help people but to serve every living being in need. Though our organisation’s legal registration and broader campaigns focus on children and women’s empowerment, our hearts in Tapra naturally turned to cow care because these gentle beings have no voice of their own.

Every time we prepare flour, jaggery, ghee, and wholesome food, it’s not just nourishment; it’s hope. The soft lowing of a cow that once stood weak and abandoned becomes a sound of trust. Many of these cows are old, injured, or forsaken by their owners because of financial hardships or lack of care. Each tiny act of kindness, from a scoop of food to a comforting touch, ignites a sense of connection that words can hardly explain. Yet, we face a very real challenge: our limited budget. Our intentions are endless, but our resources are not. Without support, we cannot feed daily, and that weighs heavily on all of us. This ongoing struggle is why we are now reaching out to compassionate souls across India and beyond.

We want to make this service regular and sustainable – not an occasional act of mercy, but a daily vow of care. Your contribution, even a little, can ensure that a cow receives the nutritious meal it desperately needs today. These aren’t just animals; they are a part of our culture, our land, and our lives. The flour we buy with your support becomes strength in their stomachs. The jaggery becomes warmth in their hearts. Medicines and basic treatment become relief from pain. And every rupee goes into making sure that from sunrise to sunset, no cow goes hungry.

Sometimes, when the sun blazes over Rajasthan’s sandy terrain, I see those cows seeking shade and think about how little it takes to change a life. A small donation becomes a big strength in our shared mission. We are not merely feeding cows; we are reminding our community that kindness still lives here in Tapra. We are teaching our children that compassion is not an abstract idea but a daily practice. And we are showing the world that even a small village can make a difference when hearts are united.

Our mission is clear: to provide nutritious food to hungry cows, to support weak, injured and abandoned cows, and to spread awareness about cow care and compassion throughout our region. But to keep this mission alive every single day, we need your help. Whether it’s flour, jaggery, ghee, utensils, or medicines, your support turns scarce resources into a lifeline. Together, we can transform occasional service into daily acts of compassion, ensuring that every cow under our watch knows the warmth of care and the dignity of life itself.

Please join us. Your small help becomes a big strength – a lifeline for these innocent animals who depend on us. Let us come together, not just as donors, but as fellow humans bound by kindness. Together we can turn compassion into daily care and make sure no cow in Tapra Village goes hungry again.
