My name is Himanshu, and I am the eldest son in my family. Today, 12th February 2026, my father is undergoing surgery for oral cancer, and we are all waiting outside the operation theatre with fear and hope in our hearts. My father was first diagnosed with oral cancer in 2024. He went through chemotherapy with great strength, and we believed we had overcome the worst. But recently, the cancer returned, and this time it has affected the right side of his mouth and jaw area. The reports show a malignant mass in the right buccal space and alveolus, and doctors have advised urgent surgery to stop it from spreading further.
My father is a simple farmer. He spent his whole life working in the fields under the sun so that we could study and live a better life. When he was first diagnosed, we used all our savings for his treatment. As the expenses kept increasing, he even sold our farming land to continue his medical care. Watching him sell the land he loved so much was heartbreaking, but he did it without hesitation because for him, his family always came first.
We are four siblings – three brothers and one sister, and all of us are still studying. We are young and not financially independent yet. My mother has been trying to stay strong, but it is very difficult for her to see her husband suffer like this. As the eldest son, I always dreamed of supporting my family and helping my father live a peaceful life after years of hard work. Instead, today I am standing here asking for help to save his life.
The doctors have clearly said that this surgery is necessary. The cancer has shown bone erosions and involvement of nearby areas, and there are also lymph nodes affected. If we delay, it can become even more dangerous. We have already exhausted every possible source of money: our savings, borrowed funds from relatives, and even the land that was our only asset. At this point, we have nothing left to arrange the remaining medical expenses.
I am requesting everyone with folded hands to please support my father’s treatment. Every small contribution will bring us closer to saving his life. My father has always been a hard-working and honest man who never asked anyone for help, but today his family needs your kindness. Please help us give him another chance to live, to see his children grow, and to stand with us once again as the pillar of our family. Your support, prayers, and sharing of this campaign mean everything to us.
