For Many Children in Guntur, Winter Is a Fight for Survival Donate a Blanket

Rural Care Ministries, founded in 2004 by Mr. Karyampudi Yonathanu, has been a pillar of hope for underprivileged families in and around Jupudi Village, Guntur. With a dedicated team of seven members, the NGO has tirelessly worked to uplift communities through education for poor children, medical assistance, food distribution, and essential supplies like rice and wheat. Over the years, their compassion and commitment have touched countless lives.

Mr. Yonathanu has already extended his generosity by donating dresses to underprivileged children, ensuring they could walk with dignity and comfort. Now, as winter approaches, he is determined to continue this mission of care by sharing blankets with those who need them most.

The Harsh Reality of Winter

As the cold season sets in, many of us will find comfort under warm blankets. But for hundreds of families living in small huts without proper walls, the season brings unbearable suffering. Children, women, and the elderly often endure freezing nights with little or no clothing to protect them. Every year, more than a hundred lives are lost due to the lack of basic necessities to shield against the cold.

Our Mission This Winter

This year, Rural Care Ministries is stepping forward once again to protect the most vulnerable. We have identified over 200 people living in slums within Guntur municipality who have no means to buy blankets. Without help, they will face the biting cold with nothing to cover themselves.
