Aadish Jain Is Fighting for His Life After a Severe Spinal Injury

My name is Nirvesh Kumar, and Aadish Jain is my younger brother. He has always been a responsible husband and a caring family member. Seeing him lying on a hospital bed for months, fighting for his life, is something we never imagined. A Life-Threatening Medical Emergency

Aadish suffered a severe cervical spinal cord injury, which damaged the nerves in his neck region. This injury affected his movement, sensation, and even his ability to breathe normally. He was brought to the emergency room in a critical condition and shock and had to be immediately admitted to the Neuro-Critical Care Unit at Graphic Era Hospital. From that moment, his fight for survival began.

Complex Spinal Surgeries to Save His Life

Doctors found that Aadish’s spinal cord was under dangerous pressure at the C4–C5 level of his spine. To prevent permanent paralysis and save his life, they performed major neurosurgeries, including cervical microdiscectomy, duraplasty, and spinal fusion. Due to breathing failure, a tracheostomy was also performed. These are highly specialised and high-risk procedures, required only in the most serious spinal injuries.

Three Months in ICU and Ventilator Support

After surgery, Aadish remained in the ICU for weeks, dependent on a ventilator and under continuous neurological monitoring. He faced complications related to breathing and weakness in his limbs. Even today, he is recovering slowly and requires strict medical supervision, medications, and long-term rehabilitation. His journey is far from over.

An Overwhelming Financial Crisis

The cost of Aadish’s treatment, including emergency care, multiple surgeries, ICU stay, ventilator support, medicines, and rehabilitation, has been estimated at ₹20–25 lakhs. We have exhausted our savings and all possible resources. Continuing his treatment without support has become impossible for our family.
