My name is Gopal Sharma, and I am the father of Devansh, my 4½-year-old son who should have been spending his days playing with toys, laughing with friends, and dreaming about school. But today, instead of playgrounds and bedtime stories, his world has become hospital rooms, injections, and painful treatments. As a father, it breaks my heart to see my little boy suffer like this.
Devansh's diagnosis with blood cancer changed our lives forever a few months ago. The doctors told us that he needs immediate and continuous treatment to survive. He is currently undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital under Dr Manas Kalra, and every day is a battle for him. Seeing such a small child go through so much pain is something no parent should ever experience.
Before this tragedy, I used to work at a small computer café earning ₹14,000 per month. It was not much, but it was enough for us to live a simple life. But when Devansh fell sick, I had no choice but to leave my job because he needed constant hospital visits and emergency care. My son's life is all that matters now, but we have no income.
My wife Manisha, Devansh’s mother, stays beside him every single moment in the hospital. She holds his tiny hand during painful procedures, wipes his tears, and whispers prayers asking God to save our child. As parents, we feel completely helpless when Devansh looks at us with innocent eyes, not understanding why he is suffering so much.
The doctors have told us that Devansh’s treatment will cost around ₹1,500,000. For a family like ours, this amount is impossible to arrange. With no income, rising hospital bills, and the constant fear of losing our child, we feel like the ground beneath our feet has disappeared.
Today, I am standing before you not just as a father but as someone begging for help to save his child’s life. Devansh deserves a chance to live, to play, to go to school, and to grow up like every other child. Your support can provide him that chance.
Please help my little son fight blood cancer.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can bring us closer to saving Devansh’s life. Your kindness and compassion can bring hope back into our family and help my child smile again.
