My name is Rita Mohan, and I live in a small house in Amravati, Maharashtra with my husband and our two sons. Life has never been easy for us. I am partially disabled, and walking, even inside my home is painful and slow. Still, I try to do whatever I can, because I want my family to feel cared for.
My husband works every single day, doing small jobs like rag-picking and whatever work he can find. Even after working so hard, he earns only ₹5,000–₹6,000 a month. This is all we have for rent, food, medicines, school needs… everything. Some days we barely manage.
We live in a very small broken house, and it is difficult for four of us to fit inside. The roof leaks during rains. The walls are weak. But we have no other place to go. My disability stops me from stepping out and earning with him, and I feel helpless watching him struggle alone.
My younger son is 5 years old, but he still cannot speak properly. I worry every day about his future. We cannot even afford proper checkups or therapy for him. As a mother, this breaks my heart.
I am not someone who can run, walk fast or work freely like others. But I am trying in every way I can to support my family, even if it is by sharing my story here. I want my children to grow up in a home where they feel safe. I want my husband to rest without worrying about how we will survive the next day. I want my son to get help so he can speak clearly one day.
Today, I am asking for your help… not for luxuries, but for a simple, dignified life.
Your support will help us:
- Repair or rebuild our small home
- Afford medical help for my younger son
- Give us basic monthly stability so my husband doesn’t have to break himself working every single day
- Make sure our children do not grow up inside poverty and struggle

Even a little help will bring relief to us.
I have learned to live with pain and limitations… but I cannot watch my family suffer endlessly.
Please help us build a small, safe life.
Your kindness can change our tomorrow.
