My name is Jeetendra Kumar. I am a simple man who always worked as a daily wage labourer. Sometimes I worked with electricity-related jobs, sometimes with a dairy company that makes milk products, and sometimes I did any small work I could find. Whatever work came my way, I did it honestly to earn food for my family. I never asked anyone for help before. I believed that hard work was enough to run my home.
One Accident Changed My Life Forever
About one and a half years ago, while getting down from stairs, I fell suddenly, and my spine got badly injured. After that accident, the lower half of my body became completely paralysed. I was first admitted to a hospital in Meerut, then shifted to Delhi, and finally kept at AIIMS for almost two and a half months. But during all that time, there was no sensation in my body. Doctors told me that I am 100% paralysed and only therapy and exercises can help, but there is no guarantee.
My Children Are My Biggest Worry
I have three children. My elder son is 14 years old, my daughter is 9 years old, and my youngest son is just 6 years old. My wife is earning around ₹9,500 sometimes, but that is not enough for my family. My children’s education is getting affected. I worry every day about how to feed them, how to pay their school fees, and how to give them a secure future.
Medical Costs and Daily Struggles
My monthly medicine and treatment cost is more than ₹10,000. Our house is on rent, and even paying rent has become difficult. There are days when we don’t have enough money for food. My relatives and people around me helped as much as they could, but now everyone is helpless. I have tried every possible way to survive with dignity, but my situation is getting worse day by day.
I Am Not Educated, But I Want to Live
I studied only till 8th class. I don’t know many big things, and I don’t understand complicated words. But I know one thing very clearly, I want to live. I want to see my children grow. I want to support my family, even if I cannot walk. I am ready to do therapy, exercise, and fight every day if I get support.
Please Become Our Strength
Today, I am standing with folded hands asking for help, not just for myself, but for my family. I want to be a shield for my children, not a burden. With your support, you can bring light into our dark life. Your help can give my children education, food, and hope. Together, we can make sure my family survives this painful phase and moves towards a better future.
