My name is Kishan Shani, and I am writing this with a shaking hand and a broken heart because my 7-month-old son, Mantra, may not live to see his first birthday without your help.

When Mantra came into our lives on 18th October 2025, he brought us the kind of joy that words cannot describe. My wife Shivaniben and I had never felt anything like it. But within weeks, that joy turned into terror.

Red spots began appearing on Mantra's tiny body. Blood clots formed under his skin. We rushed him to Rajkot for tests, and what the doctors told us shattered our world; Mantra's platelet count was only 4,000. A healthy child should have over 150,000.

Further genetic testing an Exome Sequencing confirmed our worst fear. Mantra is suffering from Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS), an extremely rare and life-threatening condition. In this disease, the immune system simply does not work. His body cannot fight infections. His platelets stay dangerously low. Every single day, he is at risk of fatal internal bleeding in his brain, in his stomach — at any moment, without warning.

Right now, Mantra is surviving only because of expensive IVIG injections and repeated hospitalisations. These are not a cure. They are just keeping him alive, day by day.

The doctors have been very clear with us: a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) is the only permanent cure that can save Mantra's life. Without it, his chances are very slim.

The cost of the BMT, donor matching, and post-operative care will be between ₹15 to ₹20 lakhs.

We are a middle-class family from Tanasava, Rajkot. We have already spent everything we had on tests and treatment. I am a father who cannot sleep at night because I don't know if my son will be safe by morning. My wife holds him and cries. We have nothing left except hope.

Mantra is just 7 months old. He hasn't spoken his first word yet. He hasn't taken his first step. He deserves the chance to do all of that.

Your contribution, no matter how small, can be the reason Mantra survives.

Please donate. Please share this with your family, your friends, and your colleagues. Every single share brings us closer to saving him.

If you are reading this, you are already part of Mantra's story. Please read the chapter where he is saved.
