Save Farmer Ranjeet From Intestine Rupture

My name is Ranjeet Sharma, and I come from a small village called Shyamnagar, Sirsiya in Bihar. Like many others from my village, I went to Punjab to work in the fields for paddy planting. Farming is all I know; it’s how I feed my family. I have a wife, children, and parents who depend completely on me. I have always worked hard to provide for them, but today, I am struggling to even stand on my feet.

A Sudden Illness That Changed Everything

A few months ago, while working in the fields, I suddenly began vomiting and felt unbearable pain in my stomach. I was rushed to the hospital, where doctors gave us the shocking news, my intestine had ruptured. It was a life-threatening condition, and they had to perform an emergency surgery at Faridkot. The doctors opened my stomach, and since then, my intestine has been outside my body. I am living like this even now, in constant pain and fear.

But my struggle isn’t over yet.

Crushed Under Medical Costs

That operation cost us around ₹5–6 lakhs, which we somehow managed by taking loans, selling what little we had, and with the help of relatives. But the doctors have said I will need another major operation soon to put my intestine back inside my body. I have already taken a loan of ₹3 lakhs, and even paying the interest is a burden for us now.

A Family Struggling to Survive

I am the only earning member in my family of five. My children are small and their future depends on me. My wife is trying to stay strong, but it’s been over four months since I’ve been unable to work. Every day is a battle, not just with my pain, but with the helplessness of seeing my family suffer. We have already lost all our savings and are drowning in debt. My only wish is to recover and return to the fields again to provide for them.
