Story

In a small corner of a slum community, a child once said, “I want to study, but I don’t even have a notebook.” That single sentence reflects the silent struggle of thousands of children who want to learn but lack the most basic tools. Project Shiksha was created to change exactly that. An initiative by the Amaanitvam Foundation, this campaign is dedicated to ensuring that underprivileged children continue their education with dignity, confidence, and hope.

Amaanitvam Foundation began with a simple yet powerful belief: every child deserves a fair chance at life. What started as a small effort by compassionate individuals who wanted to bridge gaps in education has grown into a structured initiative supporting children from slum and low-income communities. The foundation was built not in boardrooms, but through real interactions with families who struggled to afford school supplies, through conversations with children who were on the verge of dropping out, and through the determination to ensure that poverty never becomes a reason to stop learning. Over time, these small acts of support turned into organised educational drives, mentoring programmes, and now, Project Shiksha.

Many children drop out of school not because they lack intelligence, but because they lack access. A missing schoolbag, incomplete books, no proper place to study, or the inability to pay for basic materials slowly pushes them away from classrooms. Project Shiksha aims to remove these barriers by providing complete education kits that include school bags, books, notebooks, and stationery. Beyond materials, the project will also create a small community study space: a safe and encouraging environment where children can sit, learn, and dream without distractions.

With a target of ₹60,000, the goal is to support 40–50 children with full school kits, learning materials, workshops, and regular mentoring sessions that build both academic strength and self-confidence. A small portion of the funds will responsibly cover essential operational costs such as space rent, transportation, and logistics to ensure that the project runs smoothly and consistently. This is not just about distributing supplies; it is about building continuity in a child’s education journey.

Education is more than books; it is dignity, opportunity, and the foundation for a better future. When you support Project Shiksha, you are not just donating money; you are helping a child stay in school, protecting their dreams, and breaking the cycle of poverty through learning.

Together, we can ensure that no child is forced to give up on education due to circumstances beyond their control.

Let’s educate, empower, and transform lives one child at a time.
