Assalaamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Ramazan is not only a month of fasting; it is a month of reflection, purification, gratitude, and responsibility. It is the time when we pause, look within, and ask ourselves how we can become a source of relief for someone else. As the president of the Sara Anjum Charitable Trust, I firmly believe that the true beauty of Ramazan lies in sharing our blessings and ensuring that no family feels forgotten during this sacred month.
For many of us, Ramazan is filled with warmth: preparing for Suhoor and Iftar, gathering with family, offering Taraweeh prayers, and seeking forgiveness and mercy. But for hundreds of families in Bidar and its surrounding villages, this month comes with anxiety. There are widows who struggle to feed their children, elderly parents who cannot afford medicines, and families who silently skip meals so their children can eat. Hunger and hardship should not overshadow a month meant for peace and spiritual joy.
At Sara Anjum Charitable Trust, Ramazan is one of the most important times of the year for our mission. It is when our responsibility grows stronger. This year, we have pledged to support 200 underprivileged families, ensuring they experience Ramazan with dignity, stability, and hope. Our goal is not just distribution; our goal is restoration of dignity.
With your Zakat and contributions, we aim to provide:
- Complete food kits with essentials like rice, wheat, sugar, oil, and other staples that can sustain families throughout the month.
- Clothing and blankets so that no one feels neglected or exposed during the season.
- Medical support and consultations for senior citizens and vulnerable individuals who cannot afford basic healthcare.
Ramazan teaches us that Zakat is not simply charity; it is an obligation, a purification of wealth, and a bridge between privilege and need. When you entrust your Zakat to us, you are not just donating; you are becoming part of a movement of compassion. You are ensuring that a widow prepares Iftar without worry, that an elderly father receives his medicine and that a child does not sleep hungry.
We celebrate Ramazan not with extravagance, but with service. Our volunteers personally reach out to families, identify genuine needs, and distribute essentials with respect and confidentiality. We believe in helping in a way that protects dignity and strengthens community bonds.
I humbly invite you to stand with us this Ramazan. Donate your Zakat, share this campaign with your loved ones, or volunteer your time. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, carries immense reward in this blessed month.
Let us make this Ramazan a month where mercy flows from heart to heart, where no family feels abandoned, and where together we build a stronger, more compassionate Bidar.
May Allah accept your fasts, your prayers, and your generosity. Ameen.
